HUGH JACKMAN ASKS: ARE YOU IN?The Global Poverty Project's powerful "Live Below the
Line" Campaign, challenges participants to live on a food budget of $1.50 a day, for 5 days. The U.S. Campaign takes place May 16 - 20 and was recently launched in the UK by Hugh Jackman. Participants who have previously undertaken the challenge say that experiencing the feeling of what it is like to live on such a tiny amount propels them to want to do something about it. Already thousands, including celebrities and politicians, have signed up to reduce their food budget to $7.50 for a week. Many are already discussing and sharing their experiences online, sparking a global conversation.
JOIN US! We'll all be challenged. We'll all struggle without caffeine. And we'll all have that not-quite-full feeling for five days. But we will do so because there are 1.4 billion people for whom doing without is not a choice, and that situation must change. Join the "Live Below the Line" campaign, along with Gillian Zinser from "90210", Hugh Jackman and thousands of others.
