The World Festival of Sacred Music was initiatedby His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1999 as part of an unprecedentedcelebration of the human spirit. The success of 1999, 2002 & 2005Festivals demonstrate that a grassroots initiative can have a positiveimpact on our city and promote ethical values that bring the communitytogether so that as the public attends concerts they will consider thespiritual, ethical, and ecological questions of our time.
